Welcome!
At Hoisington Bible Church, we seek to be a warm and caring community of believers, dedicated to teaching God’s Word, the Bible. Our desire is to introduce people to the Savior and worship Him together. If you do not know Jesus, we invite you to come to Him today.
The preaching of God's Word is central at Hoisington Bible Church. Pastor Gary's messages are expository in nature with a strong emphasis on application.

Victory & Hope
According to Luke 13:10-11 Jesus "was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath. And behold, there was a woman who had had a disabling spirit for eighteen years. She was bent over and could not fully straighten herself." Life must have been difficult for that woman. For 18 years she had been living with what must have been a painful, debilitating, physical infirmity that limited what she was able to do.
Like that woman, many people have had to learn to live with a physical infirmity or handicap of one sort or another. Some for eighteen years or less. Others for their entire lifetime. At times it is hard to enjoy life even when a person is in the best of health. But when a person has to deal with a physical condition that limits him or her it is all that much more difficult. The good news concerning the woman in Luke 13 is that she was healed by the Lord Jesus. Jesus "laid His hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and she glorified God" (Luke 13:13). For the first time in 18 years she was able to stand and walk in an upright position! The "bad news" was that she yet remained in a body that was subject to disease and death.
That's the bad news for all of us as well. We, also, find ourselves living in a body that is subject to decay, disease and death. Eventually the aging process takes its toll on all of us. And even before we are in our senior years we may find ourselves having to live with some physical infirmity that limits what we can do. But there is victory and hope. Some day our bodies will no longer be subject to disability, disease and death. "But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ" (1 Corinthians 15:57). Those who trust in Christ to save them from their sin not only have forgiveness of sin and everlasting life but also they will receive a glorified body that will last for eternity.
